The business hours at which a motorcycle can be picked up and/or returned are from 8 am to 5 pm at our office/base.
Some motorcyclists prefer to travel with their own gear and equipment but if a rider needs equipment/gear or something in order to go on a trip, we will make sure to be able to help out!
All our rentals come with a tire repair kit. The rider will be responsible for the repair or to look for local help. If the situation becomes complicated our support team will always be available to help/advice on what’s the best plan or closest help.
Repair or towing expenses are not included in the rental rates.
At our base we have different dry bags and/or motorcycle luggage in case a rider needs to repack and use them. Our bikes have racks in order to strap luggage/dry bags/backpacks. Depending on the bike category, they have a capacity of 30L-70L for packaging stuff to take on the trip. Enquire for details.

If the motorcycle breaks down unexpectedly or as a consequence of normal wear and tear, Go Ride Moto will offer immediate support and assistance. A mechanic will be assigned to look and diagnose the issue in order to confirm whether a bike replacement is needed or to determine if the bike can undergo a repair on the spot for the rider to continue shortly after.
Our office/workshop is conveniently located 10 mins from the SJO Airport. We can also pick up or drop off our motorcycles at the Liberia Airport (LIR) in Guanacaste or any hotels near the airports.

Costa Rica is a motorcycle friendly country. There are many locals riding motorcycles all over the country for work, transportation or leisure. There is lots of traffic to get in and out of the city, and also there is a constant delay in the driving times due to road constructions that takes years in Costa Rica to be finished. You can expect traffic in the major cities and to get in and out of them. Once at the countryside there wouldn't be any major traffic situations but definitely you will encounter slow trucks, roads that arent maintained, non paved roads all over the country, 4x4 type of accesses to public roads or private properties/hotels, and lots of unexpected road conditions. A motorcycle is a more lively way of seeing the country and enjoying it at its full, while having the flexibility of moving freely around it.
In these expeditions we ride through the best roads and scenery of Costa Rica. It's also an experience of a lifetime to ride with motorcyclists from all over the world with the support of the local Go Ride Moto Team. Hotels, activities, and roads are carefully selected to offer the best adventure in Costa Rica.
It depends on every rider but we recommend to pack as light as possible. Fresh and comfortable clothing is necessary as well as a rain jacket. We recommend strong hiking boots in case the rider is not using motorcycle boots. The boots will work both for the rides and also if there are any hikes or adventure activities during the trip. A pair of flip flops is always nice for when at the destinations, beach, hotels, etc.
Any specific gear that makes you comfortable you should bring it. If there is anything that we can help with let us know.
Motorcycles are able to travel with 25-60L of luggage dry bags. Every motorcycle has a rear rack for those who prefer to bring their own luggage ready to strap on the bike racks.
We recommend Google Maps. Also Waze is available for navigation. Is always recommended to download an offline version of Google Maps for Costa Rica. There are also apps like Maps.me which will also offer offline navigation. Most of the country has good phone signal coverage
If the motorcycle breaks down unexpectedly or as a consequence of normal wear and tear, Go Ride Moto will offer immediate support and assistance and will cover the necessary expenses of the logistics to get the client back on another motorcycle as soon as possible. If there are signs of damage, or if a road assistance or a repair is needed as a consequence of damage on the bike, also negligence, or assistance on difficult access trails or terrain, the necessary resources to get to a reasonable destination/solution will be charged to the client.
No. Insurances included are for the motorcycle (collision damage waiver and third party liability). Medical insurance/expenses, illness or death are not part of the coverage.
