Terms & Conditions

Drivers License & Age Requirements

You will need a valid motorcycle license from your country of origin to ride in Costa Rica. We can't rent a motorcycle to someone who doesn't have a proof of a valid license that specifies motorcycle class in it. No need for an international drivers license. All riders must leave an insurance security deposit - this can be left with debit/credit card or cash.

Pick-up & Drop-off

Our office hours are from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. - we offer a free pick up anywhere in the Alajuela area (SJO airport is located in Alajuela) - just let us know the place and time you would like to get picked up. For airport pick up please provide your time of arrival and flight # and we will be waiting for you at the arrivals area. For Liberia (LIR) airport we have a $125 drop off fee. No refunds for late pick ups or early drop-off. If the vehicle is not returned on the agreed upon date AND time we will charge the loss of future rentals in case the extension was not approved by us.

Payment & Deposit

The remaining balance is due at time of the motorcycle pick up - this can be paid using Visa, MasterCard, PayPal or cash. You can also pay the full balance before your arrival by clicking on the "pay now" button on this invoice. If you want to pay in any currency that is not US$ please let us know beforehand to make sure we can accept it. There will be a security deposit charged at the time of vehicle pick-up. This is a hold placed on a debit or credit card which varies depending on the motorcycle category.

Driving Restrictions

Costa Rica law prohibits vehicles or motorcycles driving on the beach. This means you can drive to the beach, park and relax under the palm trees, but you can't go play around in the tidal area for the safety of other beach goers and to protect turtle nests and other wild-life. No driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol. If you are driving on 4x4 only paths, trails or difficult/inaccessible terrain and there is damage or an accident, the towing and recovery expenses are your responsibility until a road accessible by a standard tow truck is reached.
